Appointments are easier, because we can have them in the office prepared to answer the call. Q: Can I call my camper during their week at camp?Ī: You bet! Just know that they may be spread all throughout the camp & it might take a while to bring them down to the phone. But yes, we encourage baptisms at the camp! It would be nice to know ahead of time so we can plan a program around it, and so you can invite family to attend. Just as long as it doesn't distract from the program.Ī: Yes please! We love having baptisms during the summer, it makes for a nice Sabbath blessing after church. Q: Can I visit my camper during their week at camp?Ī: Absolutely! Our weekend program is designed to minister to the youth age group, but you are more than welcome to join us for worship, or during the the week. Being able to swim is a definite advantage, but not a requirement for fun! Q: Does my camper need to be able to swim in order to participate in any of the activities?Ī: We have lifeguards on duty at all water activities, and we require a lifejacket at the boats and jet skis. Q: If my camper runs out of money in their Camp Store account, can I add more for them?Ī: Yes! You can add money to your camper's store account in UltraCamp at any time during your camper's stay. But if you already have a copy on hand, it would be nice to have it on file. We don't currently require a doctor's sign off. Q: Does my camper need to have a physical before attending summer camp at BAR?Ī: We definitely want our campers to be able to navigate the terrain at Broken Arrow Ranch, there is a lot of walking that could require physical stamina. We have no burden either way, we're just happy they've decided to join us for the week :) Some decide to wear nicer Sabbath clothing for the Friday night program, others opt for dressing up for the Sabbath Church program. Q: Should my camper dress up for the weekend program?Ī: We don't enforce a camper Sabbath dress code, but a lot of campers do decide to dress up. Because of this, we encourage parents/guardians to pick up their campers anytime before 10am. So we strongly discourage early drop offs.Ī: Breakfast is at 8:30, and we have staff meeting at 10:00 am sharp. We have a lot of cleaning, inventories, staff meeting that has to happen before we are ready to receive the next batch of campers. Q: Can I drop my camper off earlier than 2pm on Sundays?Ī: It takes a lot of work to reset the camp each week. We will keep updating the public on our social media pages and on the Home Page here.Ī: Registration is from 2-5pm each Sunday Regardless of what the summer brings, we will also abide by any state or county regulations relevant to our program and facility.
